Built in San Francisco · Launching in Austin

Zingline answers every call for Austin’s home-service crews — and books the job before the customer calls the next guy.

Zingline is an AI company based in San Francisco. Our 24/7 AI receptionist answers, qualifies, and books — for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical businesses that can’t afford a ringing phone nobody picks up. Austin, Texas is our launch market.

  • Answered in seconds, day or night — nights, weekends, and while your crew is on a job
  • Callers qualified and booked straight into your calendar
  • Emergencies transferred live to your on-call tech

Founding pilot: $750 setup + $500/month, month to month. No long-term contract.

The problem

Missed calls are missed jobs — especially in an emergency

When a homeowner has water on the floor or no air conditioning in August, they don’t leave a voicemail and wait. They call the next company on the list. That’s why an AI answering service for plumbers, HVAC, and electrical crews has to pick up every single time.

~1 in 4

inbound calls to home-service contractors go unanswered — during jobs, after hours, and whenever the office phone rings out. That’s roughly a quarter of your demand, gone.

$300–$1,000

the estimated value of the job on the line when a call comes in during a burst pipe or a dead AC unit. One missed emergency call can cost more than a month of Zingline.

Figures are industry estimates, not promises. Your call volume and job values will vary — but every call that rings out is a customer talking to a competitor instead of you.

How it works

How Zingline’s AI receptionist in Austin handles your calls

No app for your customers to download, no change to how your crew works. Your number forwards to Ava, and she handles the rest.

Ava answers in seconds

Every call is answered in seconds, day or night — and Ava says she is automated in the first sentence, so callers always know who they’re talking to.

She qualifies and books

Ava qualifies the caller, checks they’re inside your service area, and books the job into your calendar — with the diagnostic fee stated up front, so there are no surprises.

Emergencies go straight to a human

For emergency call answering, safety instructions come first. Then Ava live-transfers the caller to your on-call technician — no phone tag, no waiting on hold.

The demo

Meet Ava, our plumbing AI receptionist in action

Ava is the voice of Zingline. In the demo she works for Austin Flow Plumbing & Air — a fictional business we use for demonstration — handling the two calls your shop gets every day: the routine booking and the middle-of-the-night emergency. The same setup works as an HVAC answering service in Austin or for an electrical crew.

Flow 1 · Routine booking

The everyday job, booked start to finish

  1. Greets and discloses: Ava answers, names the business, and says she’s automated.
  2. Qualifies the job: What’s the problem, where is the property, and is it in the service area?
  3. Offers two slots: The caller picks from two real openings — no endless back-and-forth.
  4. States the diagnostic fee before confirming, so the price is clear before the truck rolls.
SMS confirmation“You’re booked with Austin Flow Plumbing & Air tomorrow, 8–11 AM. Reply C to confirm.” One letter back and the job is locked in.
Flow 2 · Emergency triage

When it’s urgent, safety beats scheduling

  1. Recognizes the emergency: Burst pipe, flooding, no heat, or a smell of gas — Ava flags it immediately.
  2. Safety instructions first: Before any booking questions, the caller gets clear safety steps.
  3. Live transfer: Once the caller is safe, Ava transfers them live to the on-call technician.
Gas smell? Ava tells the caller to leave the house right away and call 911 from outside — then she makes the live transfer. Safety instructions always come before scheduling.

Questions owners ask

Frequently asked questions

Is Ava human?

No. Ava says she is automated in the very first sentence of every call, so callers always know they are speaking with an AI receptionist. She answers, qualifies, and books — she never pretends to be a person.

What happens in an emergency?

Safety comes first. Ava gives safety instructions before anything else — for a gas smell, that means leave the house and call 911 from outside. Once the caller is safe, she live-transfers them to your on-call technician.

What if a caller wants a human?

She does not argue. Ava offers a live transfer to you or your on-call tech. If nobody picks up, she takes the caller’s name, number, and reason for calling, and flags it for a prompt callback so the job does not slip away.

What does it cost to start?

The founding pilot is $750 setup plus $500 per month, month to month. The setup fee is never waived. In exchange for pilot pricing, founding clients provide a testimonial and case-study rights.

Do you guarantee bookings or revenue?

No. Zingline answers, qualifies, and books the calls that come in — it does not guarantee bookings or revenue. Call volume and job values vary by business and season.
